TOPIC: THE BATTLE LINE IS DRAWN

SCRIPTURE: Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war:… Jeremiah 51:20

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To live in this world without battle-consciousness is to end as a casualty.

In our journey of life, it is crucial to acknowledge the undeniable fact that life is a battleground. To live in ignorance of this fact is to end as a casualty.

No wonder, our anchor scripture says, Thou are my battle axe and weapons of war. The mere mention of the words, “battle axe” introduces or links the mind to war. No one talks about the battle axe if there is no battle. And no one talks about weapons of war if there is no war. The truth is, we are in battle every day. The battle line is drawn. And the battle is between the forces of Light and the forces of darkness; it is between the forces of good and the forces of evil; it is between Jehovah, the Mighty Man of War and satan and the gods of this world.

The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to be amid battle and not be aware. Such a person can end as a cheap casualty of battle. To live in this world without battle-consciousness is to die like chicken. To live in this world without battle-consciousness is to end as a casualty. To live in this world as a believer or a pastor without battle-consciousness, is to end as a pitiable mess in life and Ministry.

Think about what happened to an anointed man like Samson. In his days, the Philistines were conscious of battle, but Samson was not. The Philistines made several invocations to arrest his destiny, but Samson kept living carelessly with confidence that he was anointed.

But when the Philistines finally got him, they took out his eyes and made him grinder in their mill. The Scripture says that they celebrated, jubilated and sacrificed offerings to their gods for delivering their enemy into their hands. Of course, prior to this time, they had been consulting the gods to deliver Samson to them (Judges 16:23-24).

Unfortunately, many Christians have not learnt any lesson from what happened to Samson. There is war! witches and wizards are aware; demonic principalities and powers are aware; occultists are aware. Ritual killers are aware. But the challenge is that many believers are not aware. They continue to live their lives casually and “do business as usual.”

Beloved, our anchor scripture confirms that you are God’s battle axe and His weapon of war! Your life is meant to bring frustration to the devil and his kingdom. So, function with this consciousness and refuse to do business as usual. I see you in victory.

Remember this: To live in this world without battle-consciousness is to end as a casualty.

ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. See yourself as a weapon of war in God’s Hand.
2. Guard your heart and steps; refuse to live carelessly and recklessly.
3. Ask God for the grace to deal with the forces of darkness.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for making me a weapon in Your Hand. I surrender to Your Will and purpose Lord. Use me to bury the forces of darkness in my generation, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
